Join Our Mission: Volunteer Opportunities at Gbonse Foundation

At Gbonse Foundation for Economic Development, our vision is a society where everyone is free from poverty and economic challenges. As we set up our Lagos office and launch our programs, we are looking for passionate and dedicated volunteers to join us in making this vision a reality. Your time, skills, and commitment can make a profound difference in the lives of the poor, marginalized, and disadvantaged.

We believe that empowering citizens is key to overcoming poverty. If you are eager to contribute to meaningful change, we welcome you to explore the diverse volunteer opportunities available.

Here are some of the key types of volunteers we are seeking:

1. Skill Trainers & Mentors: Are you proficient in a vocational skill, business management, or a specific trade? We need individuals who can “equip citizens… in acquiring skills and other trainings as may be deemed appropriate and necessary” (Objective 4). Whether it’s tailoring, digital literacy, carpentry, entrepreneurship, or basic financial management, your expertise can directly empower individuals to generate income and build sustainable livelihoods.

2. Community Mobilizers & Outreach Coordinators: We aim for “awareness-raising and group formation for the poor, aiming at integrated development” (Objective 5). If you have excellent communication skills, a knack for community engagement, and can help organize groups, facilitate discussions, and bridge the gap between the Foundation and local communities, we need you! This role is crucial for ensuring our programs are truly community-led.

3. Program Support & Event Facilitators: Our work involves organizing various “research(es), trainings, empowerment, seminars, lectures, talk shows, workshops” (Objective 8). We need volunteers to assist with event planning, logistics, registration, and on-site support. If you’re organized, resourceful, and enjoy seeing events come to life, this role is for you.

4. Data & Information Management Specialists: To ensure “easy access to information and an improved standard of living” (Objective 9), we require volunteers with skills in data entry, basic IT support, content organization, and information dissemination. If you’re detail-oriented and comfortable with technology, you can help us manage vital information that informs our strategies and reaches our beneficiaries.

How to Apply: If you are passionate about contributing to a society free from poverty and economic disparity, and believe your skills align with any of the roles above, please reach out! Visit our “Contact Us” page or send an email to: info@gbonsefoundation.org with your interest and a brief outline of your skills and availability.

Together, we can build a stronger, more economically resilient Nigeria.
