Gbonse Foundation loan is blessed, I put it in my business and saw changes – Businesswoman

A teacher, Omolara Olakopo, who also deals in catering and events decoration, has described the credit given to her by Gbonse Foundation for Economic Development as “blessed,” noting that she noticed growth in her business after putting the loan to use.

Mrs Olakopo was given N70,000 by the foundation and chose the 24-week repayment plan.

She said, during the medical screening held recently in Lagos by the foundation in commemoration of International Women’s Day (IWD) 2026, that unlike others, who offer loans to small businesses, repayment is easy when signed up with Gbonse Foundation.

“I thank God because the money is blessed,” the businesswoman said. “When I put it in the business, I saw some changes. It’s unlike other loans, I have other loans too. Paying back is very easy for me because I am making income.”

A trader in food items, Adejoke Oduaye, got N100,000 loan from the foundation. She says the credit facility has been a boost for her business.

“It has been smooth and nice in the sense that I can collect a loan with peace of mind. The weekly payment is not disturbing,” said Mrs Oduaye. “I chose the six-month plan so I pay N5,700 every Friday. I can easily bring it out of my business every Friday to pay it.”

“I started the business with N200,000 capital and the extra N100,000 is a boost,” she further said. “For instance, I was only able to buy one bag of rice before, now I’m able to buy two bags and fill up my store.”

The businesswoman praised Gbonse Foundation for its low interest rate. “Some persons may not give one N100,000 for s start, they’ll start with N30,000 or N50,000,” she said.

“I’ve collected some loans with high interest. I like the fact that Gbonse Foundation’s interest rate is low.

“It is affordable and flexible and no collateral. I want to thank them.”

Bukola Onanuga, who deals in recycling, said she joined Gbonse Foundation because of its many “benefits”.
